Some information

Message par Sandro87 »

Hello,
i'd like to know two things: how do I start GW automatically when windows starts? I can't find any setup about this.
Second thing...how can I upload a graph via FTP everyday or every week at a specific time and in a way that the jpg uploaded won't overwrite the old one? For example graph4-2-2009.jpg graph5-2-2009.jpg an so on.

Thanks

Hi

You can use the scheduled task of windows to start GW.
I don't know softwares to schedule a file upload but I am pretty sure that exists.

Hello,

Also GW can be scheduled to generate jpg graphs and upload them to an ftp server.
See http://aguilmard.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=897

For scheduled ftp uploads there are many programs. I am using AutoFTP from PrimaSoft and have several scheduled auto-transfers at different time intervals.
I also did try to run GW simultaneously but there were collisions on the net I think. Now I have sceduled GW to make the jpg graphs which I upload with AutoFTP.

I think the trouble is to do a scheduled upload without overwriting the old files. How can I generate new filenames. :?:

FTPgetter may only overwrite files for which the time stamp has changed

Hope it helps.

All features of FTPgetter on its website...

where are located the generated graphs on the computer (I am running vista)
