Some suggestions

Message par ilJefry »

Hi Antoine :)
First of all, I'm sorry for my imperfect English.

I use GraphWeather (the latest version) with my Lacrosse WS3600, and I write you because I've some suggestions in order to improve GW.

In fact, I feel the lack of day rainfall in the graphs (like in WD, where rainfall line resets at 00:00 o' clock). Is possible to add this feature in future versions?

Another thing is that of Daylight Saving Time: there is no option in WS3600 plugin, so statistics are slightly wrong: for example, one day I accumulated 58 mm (with rain also in the previous day), but GW gives me a total of 54.4 mm because of the unsupported Daylight Saving Time for WS3600 and the consequent "interference" of the two rainy days. Future implementation of this feature?

Finally, I report a bug: when I turn on the RealTime mode throught the currdat.lst file, statistics doesn't autoupdate, so I must turn off it and manually update them. If it's possible, I'd like that stats autoupdate with the RealTime mode on.

If you want, in my website you can see my personalized graphs; I'm currently working on them.
Congratulations for GraphWeather, it's a very good program!!

Ciao :D

Thanks! :)
I forgot to report another bug of the RealTime reading: wind gusts, in line text, are wrong when I read data from currdat.lst, with values such as 223.2 km/h, also when there aren't gusts, but in the graphs is all right.
I attach a screenshot... you can see the wrong "Raffica" value instead of the real 20.8 km/h

It seems the wind gust is not available in currdat.lst...
The solution is to copy the wind gust of the last recorded record in currdat.lst record.

What is your recording step ?

OK for a time below 1 minute between last recorded record and currdat.lst record, it make sens to fix this problem like that.
So it will be fixed in next release.

Edit: A threshold of 5 minutes will be added. Below this threshold the fix will be applied, above the wind gust will not be available.

Hi Antoine,
(I'm using this forum because I've not seen the same in french)
when you get some spare time, I might have some idea for you.
Colors and presentation could be nicer, but have look and move the mouse over the calendar http://meteozoir.homeip.net/meteozoir_en_graphiques.htm.
Minimum screen dimensions should be around 1152x864 it hasn't been tested below these values.
Would it be possible to automate the graph generation to achieve this kind of result ?
Graphs are generated in PHP with jpgraph, updates on monthly and yearly graphs, missing day recovery, are run every night, current day runs every 10 mn
This would be a nice to have for release 3... or 4
Rgds and have a nice day !

Hi Jean,

It does not display graphs on Firefox and no popup in IExplorer. Is it normal?

No it should work, because it's working for some other people, maybe it's a loading time pb. Did you try clicking and moving the mouse over the calendar ?
I will have a look on how loading progresses.

Hi Antoine,
it should work with FF
I had cookies named GWday, GWmonth and GWyear that might be used somewhere else.
I renamed all of them.
I also noted than you've to change year to get the img's filled. I don't know why yet.
EDIT Year pb fixed no more need to navigate

It works now. So you want an automated day graph generation? in statistics? It should be easy to implement.
