GW doesn't upload the statistics on windows 7 - solved

hi,
I'm new on the forum and on GraphWeather.
I have a La Crosse WS2800 weather station, I use Heavy Weather and GW to publish data on my site.
In my computer I use windows 7.
Everything works fine, but I have only one problem.
GW is unable to send the complete statistics folder. GW sends only all the files inside the statistics but not the folders of the years with theirs contents.
I tried to create the folders of the years manually with Filezilla, but GW still can not send the files inside the folders of years.
Can you help me?

Are you allowed to create additionnal directories on your site host ? sometimes you need additionnal rigths.
Honestly if you can create them with filezilla i would not expect you not haviing these rights.
Are your yearly statistics directories correctly created in GW directory ?

Yes, i confirm i can create new folders with Filezilla.
And yes, the local folders of GW are right. I can see them by GW; they are perfet.
If i export them by Filezilla my online gwstats is running well.
It is GW that has some problems to export the statistic folder and its subfolders .
Also i want to give you notice that with graphics and data files GW is running very well. So the ftp connection is right.

OK thank you for this information return.
It seems, as far as I remember, that this pb has already been seen, but I've been unable to find it.
This is an unusual case and it works fairly well elsewhere. I do understand that it bothers you, but I have no other solution than exporting with an external program.

GW ftp function is not the best part of this nice program and as long as we have a patch it is acceptable.
BTW, have you given a glance at the ftp log files (tools-> log viewer) ?

Sometimes to avoid multiple access trials, it's better anyway to use an external FTP client. In the past, I considered syncbak was a good alternative. But I do not upload my files any longer as I host locally my Web site.

Hi,
i have a goog news!
On an italian blog we found the issue and the solution!
The issue was Windows.
Gw has its best with window xp. I have windows 7.
So, i set Gw to run like windows XP service pack 3.
The problem is solved!

I think it is better put a notice about that on GW guide/tutor.
