Davis Vantage Vue: WL + GW

Message par Ocsi »

Hi! Congratulations for this program. :-)

I have a Davis Vantage Vue with WeatherLink 5.9.0 and now I'm trying to use GraphicWeather 2.0.312b. I've configured Graphicweather with VantagePro.dll and *.wlk files.

Well, in report2.xml I have some discrepances:

- Heat Index: in WeahterLink appears a 28.3 Grads in Heat Index but in Graphicweather appears 34.3 Grans in Head Index. Is it correct???.
- Yearly rainfall: It's 0.0 mm. And in WL it's 245.8 mm.

I've tryied to check/uncheck "WindChill and Heat Index calculation" in Options -> Probe menu but there is no diference. :-S
Location options are propertly configured.

What can I do? Anybody has the same problem?

Best regards,

P.D: I'm sorry for my bat English.

Hi,

1- Probably the model used by GW to compute Heat Index is not the same as the Vantage Pro. If you have more information about the Vantage Model, let me know and I will add an option to switch between those models.

2- Did you reset your station the 01/01/2010?

Thanks,
ANtoine.

Hi TiToine, I'll answer you:

1. As you say, maybe the problem with Heat Index is GW uses a diferent model to compute Heat Index than WL: I bought my station in USA. A friend in this forum (MeteoTortosa) explain it to me. I'm sorry but I'm new in weather observation.

2. I search in Davis web and I found a new version of Vantage DLL 2.42 1/29/2010 (VantagePro.dll file). This is the link: http://www.davisnet.com/support/weather ... dllsdk.asp. The new DLL suports Davis Vantage Vue. I try replace the DLL file and registered again but it doesn't work. :-)

Best regards and Thanks,

Xisco
